We’re an independent production company located in the heart of East Vancouver’s Commercial Drive neighborhood.
We’ve moved into the financing phase on our feature The Most Beautiful Women, targeted for production this summer. We’re extremely grateful to the many people and diverse communities who have contributed so much towards its development. An especial thanks to Jeremy Waller for being there when it all began. Producers are Lynne Carrow, Carolyn Combs and Michael Springate.
We recently initiated development on a character-based work to be set both in Vancouver and Gwangju, South Korea, discovering how the fierce repression of the uprising of May 18, 1980, affected the lives of people now living in Vancouver, as well as the struggle for democracy in South Korea. An update will be coming soon.
And we’re partnering with the brilliant and unique visual artist, Jim Ramsay, on a live-action/animation mix featuring a new anti-hero called Pacific Rim.
Last year we completed the dramatic short Small Currents starring Kirsten Slenning, Patrick Sabongui and Silver Kuris. It won a Legacy award for direction and has been picked up for distribution by Ouat Media.
Our first feature, Acts of Imagination, set along Commercial Drive and the Fraser River, starring Stephanie Hayes and Billy Marchenski, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, traveled around the globe to numerous international festivals, and enjoyed limited theatrical release before being nationally broadcast.
